FORUM: Board Chairs forum | Navigating in Uncertainty: Governance and Management in the COVID Era (joint session exclusively open to Board Chairs, Vice Chairs and EDs/CEOs) Habitat leaders everywhere are operating in an environment full of new challenges, one that is changing week to week, if not day to day. Even the most experienced leaders find themselves in learning mode, forced to quickly learn new skills and adapt. Keeping on top of new developments and responding to them leaves us with little time to look at how leaders in other organizations are responding to this new environment and learning from their experience. As President & CEO of the Institute for Corporate Directors, Rahul Bhardwaj has an unparalleled view of what is happening at non-profit and corporate boards and organizations through ICD’s 15,000 members across Canada. Rahul will give us an overview of what’s top of mind for non-profit boards right now – from business purpose to diversity and inclusion – and how the most successful non-profit organizations are responding to the pandemic. He will then suggest what this means for you, and share some concrete ideas you can use to improve your board’s effectiveness. While boards and management teams have different roles and perspectives, aligning their objectives and work is critical. In this session, we will bring affiliate leaders together to share high-level overviews of each breakout group’s discussion. Click here to view a detailed agenda.
